New Brunswick’s chief medical officer of health says she’s following her own public health guidelines.
Dr. Jennifer Russell recently visited the Campbellton Zone 5 Region which has an outbreak of COVID-19 and remains in the Orange level of pandemic recovery.
During the provincial briefing, Russell was wearing a mask and for the next 14 days, she pledged to wash her hands frequently, practice social distancing and avoid crowds.
The same should apply to anyone who has visited Zone 5 she added.
Russell noted another outbreak at a facility in that region, Residence Saisons Quatre.
“This is an adult residential facility in Balmoral. There is one case and we are declaring an outbreak,” she noted.
Four new cases of COVID-19 are being reported in the province today.
One case is someone in their 60s in the Moncton Zone 1 Region and the other three cases are from Zone 5 – one person in their 50s and two people in their 60s.
Russell noted more individuals are recovering from the virus.
The number of active cases is 41 with four in hospital.
