Two more buildings owned by PMV Canada in Saint John are set to be destroyed.
Common Council voted Monday in favour of demolishing the two north end buildings, both of which have been the scene of fires over the last few months.
Firefighters have responded to fires at both 123 Main Street and 135 Main Street over the past few weeks, including one the fire department has deemed ‘suspicious.’
A report to council during its Sept. 28 meeting said the vacant buildings are dilapidated and hazardous to public safety.
Both buildings are expected to be demolished sometime over the next month.
