New Brunswick Public Health reported two new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday.
There are now six active cases in the province.
The new cases are an individual in their 40s in the Fredericton region, and someone in their 60s in the Moncton region.
The case related to Fredericton is an individual with a permanent residence in Fredericton who was in Ontario prior to exhibiting symptoms. They were tested in Ontario, and will remain in that province until they have recovered.
The case in the Moncton region is also related to travel outside the Atlantic provinces, and the patient is self-isolating.
Public Health also announced a healthcare worker who lives in Quebec but works in the Campbellton region tested positive, and is now self-isolating in Quebec.
Contact tracing efforts have begun in each instance.
The new cases bring New Brunswick up to a total of six active instances of COVID-19.
Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador each announced there were no new cases discovered in those provinces Thursday.
Prince Edward Island has not yet announced new COVID-19 data, we will update this post if that changes.
