Fundy-The Isles-Saint John West went blue once more this provincial election.
The re-elected PC candidate Andrea Anderson-Mason said it feels very different from the last time around but still good.
She can’t thank her constituents enough.
“I can’t thank them ( constituents) enough, really I find it almost overwhelming is the right word for me to use. I feel incredibly honoured and it’s a tremendous privilege to be able to represent what I think is the best riding in the province,” she said.
Anderson-Mason said because of COVID-19 restrictions, she felt like she wasn’t able to do her job as well compared to the election in 2018 and what she loves most is engaging with the constituents.
“What I loved about 2018 was being able to get out to meet people, to be on their doorsteps to engage, and I almost grieved the fact that I wasn’t able to do it this time, I felt that I wasn’t fully able to do my job,” she said.
Anderson-Mason said campaigning this time around was a personal struggle for her and she found it very challenging.
She said she feels incredibly honoured to represent what she thinks is the best riding in the province.
“Truly I couldn’t have done it not just with the current team I worked with but most especially the ones that helped in 2018 because they’re the ones who just worked so tirelessly and gave so much of their time and believed in what we were doing and I can’t thank them enough,” she said.
She celebrated the win with family, friends and campaign helpers at a parking lot party at the St. George Mall.
