Police have charged a British Columbia woman for violating the Public Health Act after a Nova Scotia restaurant was shut down.
On Monday, RCMP charged a 38-year-old woman for not self-isolating for 14 days after entering the province from outside the Atlantic travel bubble.
That carries a fine of $1,000.
The Route 19 Brewing Tap and Grill in Inverness has been closed since Monday when they were notified the woman had been at the restaurant around noon on Sunday.
Route 19 Brewing reps say there’s been a full deep cleaning, but they don’t know how much longer they’ll have to stay closed.
They say they’re working with public health reps on when they can reopen.
