A 32-year-old Oromocto man has died in a head-on collision southwest of Fredericton.
Mounties were called to the crash on the Trans-Canada Highway near Mazerolle Settlement early Monday morning.
Police believe a car was heading westbound in the eastbound lanes when it hit a pickup truck.
The driver of the car and only occupant died at the scene from his injuries.
The pickup truck driver and sole occupant was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
An RCMP reconstructionist is trying to determine the cause of the crash.
