New Brunswick RCMP conducted approximately 70 operations around traffic enforcement in June.
Corporal Jullie Rogers-Marsh says about 67 violations were issued by the Tactical Traffic Enforcement unit.
“Some of them were given tickets for a variety of different reasons. They may have been given warnings if they were pulled over. There were a couple of suspended drivers I believe as well,” Rogers-Marsh said.
Rogers-Marsh said it’s important for the RCMP to do this type of enforcement to make sure the public is aware they need to follow specific speed limits in construction zones for everyone’s safety.
