New Brunswick’s premier spoke about the tragic shooting in Nova Scotia ahead of Monday’s update on COVID-19.
Blaine Higgs says he’s been in contact with Premier Stephen McNeil to offered his sympathies and support from the province.
Higgs also highlighted the courage and bravery of frontline workers who risked their lives during the tragic event.
He says flags in New Brunswick as well as across Canada have been lowered in honour of the victims.
Higgs says the names of other victims will soon be released and will each be grieved in their own way.
He says Nova Scotia is more than just our neighbouring province and that many have loved ones there.
He says it’s especially difficult because loved ones still need to follow social-distancing rules, but says it won’t be forever.
