The winners of the $500,000 Maxmillions ticket have claimed their prize.
Ron LeBlanc and Roseline Theriault of Memramcook heard the news that a winning ticket had been sold in Dieppe and decided to check theirs.
“I went to the counter and she (lotto retailer) checked it for us and when she checked it she said I believe you’ve won something fairly big and then she came back and said we won $500,000,”
LeBlanc says they almost forgot to purchase their weekly ticket. He’s thankful he decided to go back to the mall when he did to get it.
LeBlanc has been retired for several years but says the win has allowed his partner to do the same.
Theriault has already purchased herself a new car and LeBlanc bought her a diamond engagement ring.
The lucky pair are also planning to go on a cruise to the Caribbean next month.
