The West District RCMP are looking into a deadly fire where a baby was found dead.
About 1 a.m. on Sunday morning, the Mounties and the Pennfield Fire Department responded to a fire at a home on Highway 175.
An 18-month-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene while two adults and two other children got out without being injured.
The Mounties and the Provincial Fire Marshal’s office are trying to determine the cause of the fire.
An autopsy will be performed to find out the exact cause of the child’s death.
