With the recent weather conditions, the New Brunswick RCMP is taking this time to remind motorists to wear their seat belt.
Police say it is your last line of defense in a crash and not wearing one makes you 30 times more likely to be ejected from the vehicle.
In 2018 the RCMP responded to 60 fatal collisions where 19 people died because they weren’t wearing a seat belt.
They also advise drivers to slow down and adapt to driving conditions.
The RCMP stresses the importance that you wear your seat belt. Did you know it is the driver’s responsibility to ensure that passengers under 16 are buckled up? Protect yourself and your loved ones. We will be checking #buckleup
