The province is now accepting funding applications for the Environmental Trust Fund.
The fund provides financial support to municipalities, First Nations, community groups, non-profits, and institutions, for projects that help benefit the environment.
Environment Minister Jeff Carr says the fund helps create “vibrant and sustainable” communities, while also reaching objectives outlined in New Brunswick’s Climate Change Action Plan.
Money for the fund comes partially from environmental fees paid on cans and bottles. Last year, it provided over 8-million dollars to around 230 different projects.
The deadline to submit applications online is November 20th.
