The Magnetic Hill Zoo jaguar cubs are about two months old now and visitors will finally get a look at them.
They’ve started to explore outside their den, Zoo director Jill Marvin says they followed their mother BJ’s lead.
“The first one out was of course mom, mom checked everything out because we have a new platform there. And I would say maybe 30 seconds later the other one came rolling out, tried that first step and then was just having a ball out there,” Marvin says.
“Right now it is just so much play and discover. The littler one took a bit more tie, that cub is just a little more independent, kind of looked around at what was happening and then just pounced on his brother,” she continued.
They don’t have names yet but Marvin says staff is working on a list.
“Late next week on our website we’ll post a contest that will help us choose the best name,” she says.
Your chance see the cubs is when they have access to the outdoor exhibit, every day from 10 am to 2 pm.
