Get ready to hear some great music, dress up and raise money all at the same time. No, it is not a Halloween Party, it’s Woofstock for the Saint John SPCA.
In August we saw the 50th anniversary of the famed concert and the SPCA’s Rhonda Cusack says they wanted to remember that groovy time and help out the shelter.
Some musician friends and I got together and said let’s do a tribute and do something good for the SPCA in Saint John, so we got together some musicians who are donating their time and the songs are all from the time 1967 to 1970.
It is being held at The Rockland at 328 Rockland Road according to Cusack they are encouraging people to break out the bell-bottoms and the tie-dye shirts and get ready to dance the night away to anything from Jimi Hendrix to Janis Joplin, The Beatles and CCR.
The shelter always needs items and funding to continue its operations but Cusack says for now they do have a shortage of kitty food, and blankets and need some funds to help cover some animals vet bills.
