Cannabis NB has cut eight management positions in a restructuring move which impacts stores across the province.
Spokesperson Marie-Andree Bolduc says the Crown corporation is streamlining operations and some store managers will now take over responsibility for more stores.
“As with any enterprise, especially a start-up, Cannabis NB continuously manages all aspects of its operations in order to provide the best value to its customers and its shareholders. Cannabis NB has recently implemented a number of competitive pricing activities and process improvements such as streamlining its reception and identification check and has made changes to its management structure to achieve efficiencies and improve customer experience.”
Bolduc adds no changes are planned in the number of customer service representatives and no stores will be closing at this time.
The Higgs government has made it clear it wants Cannabis NB to become more profitable and efficient.
