The provincial government is looking at a review of its solid-waste management service model.
It has hired a consultant to conduct a comprehensive review of the model, which has been in operation for 30 years.
Local Government and Environment Minister Jeff Carr says, “We need to find out what is working well and what can be improved in order to better adapt to future solid-waste management programs and strategies.”
Dillon Consulting has been selected to conduct the review, which is expected to take six months to complete.
The funding of $125,000 came from the Environmental Trust Fund.
