New Brunswick’s newest lieutenant-governor is getting to work.
Brenda Murphy was sworn in on Sunday in Grand Bay-Westfield.
She replaces Jocelyne Roy Vienneau, who passed away on August 2nd after a battle with cancer.
Murphy served three terms as a municipal councillor for the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield and was also nominated a member of the Gender Equality Network Canada.
She was also a member of the National Advisory Council on Poverty and the New Brunswick Advisory Council on the Status of Women.
Murphy is New Brunswick’s 32nd lieutenant-governor.
