If you were flooded this spring and think your well-water was contaminated you can still get a free testing kit, for now.
The province says as of September you will have to pay a fee to get it done.
Since they began testing at the RPC, Research and Productivity Council Lab in Fredericton in May there have been 661 water samples analyzed.
Anyone affected by high water levels in April or May needed to get their well-water tested according to Environment and Local Government Minister Jeff Carr.
“Those eligible for free bacterial testing of their well-water should take advantage of this program to ensure that their drinking water is safe and clean,” stated Minister Carr.
The kits are still available for free at Service New Brunswick centres in Saint John, Hampton, Chipman, Burton, Fredericton and at the office of the RPC.
