The Saint John Chamber of Commerce have announced their finalists for the Outstanding Business Awards.
The awards recognize businesses and entrepreneurs that are “dynamic and significant,” and represent “business excellence,” according to Chamber CEO David Duplisea.
Thandi’s, Italian By Night, and On the Vine Meat & Produce have been nominated in the Business Excellence category.
Other’s nominated for emerging entrepreneurship include the Duke Creative Collective, The Saint John Tool Library, and the Zesty Lemon.
Joe McKay, Owner of Yip Ciders, will be winning this year’s Young Entrepreneur Award for his innovation in creating a successful business.
This year’s Passion For Change award will be going to Derek and Terri Riedle for their work on Civilized, Moonlight Bazaar, and the World Cannabis Congress.
Other recipients include Canaport LNG for their positive community impact, and Area 506 will receive the Chair’s Award for it’s economic contribution to the city.
The award ceremony will be held at the Trade and Convention Centre on October 10th.
