It doesn’t have to be something big.
It doesn’t take long.
Kindness.
By definition, it’s the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate.
I am a true believer in getting what you give. Let me explain…
Summer road trip destination #2 was in Cavendish PEI. We always have such an incredible time on the Island. You can do as much or as little as you like and always create great memories. On our last evening we took our little guy to Cavendish Beach to watch the sunset. He dashed through the crashing waves, built sandcastles, smashed them and had a great time.
As the sun slowly sank it cast a rich, warm glow on the entire beach. I’m sure the fanciest filters couldn’t even match this natural light. Simply beautiful. I took full advantage and began snapping pictures of our boy playing happily in the salty air.
Next to us, a very sweet couple were taking pictures of each other by the light of the sunset. So I approached them and offered to take a few of them together. It’s something I often do.
It doesn’t take long, right?
We had a quick chat and I learned their names were Betty and Don. They live near Fredericton and have a daughter in Quispamsis. After our exchange, I went back to ‘focus’ on my boy.
I caught a glimpse of my new friends walking toward the waves, together. Just enjoying each other. So I snapped it. It was beautiful.
I was happy to have been able to capture this moment so I approached them again and gave them my contact information.
I sent the picture.
When I got to work this morning, they had already sent one back.
Thank you Betty and Don, we will treasure it.
See, it doesn’t have to be something big, right?
But it can be and I can prove it!
More to come tomorrow…
