Anyone living in local service districts near Fredericton, Saint John and Sussex are being reminded that special pickups of flood debris are coming to an end soon.
For the local service district’s of Johnston, Wickam, Kars, Springfield, Hampton-Nauwigewauk, Greenwich, Westfield and Kingston, the final pickup is on Friday.
In the Fredericton area, York, Queen, and Sunbury counties have until July 5th.
Local landfills like Crane Mountain, Fredericton Region Solid Waste are accepting material until July 27th.
Staff at the gate must be informed that they will be disposing of flood-damaged items.

Residents are asked to leave flood debris along the road near their property.
Accepted waste for pickup includes appliances with the doors and covers removed, furniture, carpeting, insulation, construction debris, etc.
Small loose items should be bagged or boxed and large construction debris includes shingles, lumber and mattresses.
Hazardous material like propane tanks, chemical containers and dead animal carcasses will not be accepted.
Regular household waste collection will take place as usual but, should be set apart from flood-related items.
