The Fredericton Police Force are investigating a number of fake U.S. $100 bills being circulated in the city in the past week.
They are advising business owners to be vigilant, and examine and verify any currency that is given to them.
Any suspicious bills should be reported to police as soon as possible.
Of note, the fake bills have Asian writing/symbols on them, and can be readily purchased through online retailers.
The investigation into the fake bills is still ongoing.
Police remind people that any individuals found to be passing fake money as real currency could be charged under the Criminal Code of Canada.
