The RCMP praising the efforts of whoever reported a suspected impaired driver behind the wheel near Jacquet River.
The transport truck driver from Brampton, Ontario was pulled over on Friday and breath samples found the 61-year-old man registered with a blood sample nearly three times the legal limit.
He was arrested and then later released with a court date in September.
Sgt. Mario Maillet of the RCMP’s Tactical Traffic Enforcement Unit says the simple act of someone calling 911 helped ensure that something tragic didn’t happen.
Maillet says everyone can help prevent deaths from impaired driving by reporting drivers you think may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol or who is driving erratically.
