Water Street will be loud, messy and partially closed this week.
As the demolition continues on the Coast Guard administration building, Water Street will be closed to thru traffic in both directions between King and Princess streets starting at 6 p.m on Tuesday until end of day on Friday.
Demolition work is expected to last until June 12 while debris removal and site clean-up will carry on into July.
Businesses in the area will remain open with the sidewalk accessible on the eastern side of Water Street.

Crews will work from 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. every day during demolition and the work will be loud at times and noisy with a lot of dust.
Nearby businesses and residents should keep their doors and windows closed.
Water will be used to reduce the impacts of the dust in the air.
The cleanup process is expected to take five weeks to complete followed by grading the site.
All of the work is scheduled to finish by July 22nd.
Water Street should be back open to motorists sometime on or before Friday, June 7th.
