It’s been a full week of activities but Disability Awareness Week 2019 will wrap up at noon today with the ever-popular Walk and Roll Challenge.
Spokesperson Greg Cutler says the participants will go along Harbour Passage to the front of City Hall.
“It will be a massive sea of orange t-shirts the walk and roll challenge has always been a very fun way to finish up, the challenge starts at 12:15 and participants will meet at the Marco Polo Cruise Ship Terminal,” stated Cutler.
He said they will then make their way along the Harbour Passage Sidewalk to the front of City Hall.
“They will have a few speeches, some dignitaries will be on hand, there will cake and prizes, it is a simple event but it is nice to have all those who come out and celebrate in bright orange t-shirts, the idea is to draw attention to Disability Awareness Week,”stated Cutler.
