A 22 year old man was arrested on Friday after an altercation at the Rainbow Pride Parade event.
Saint John Police say they were called to King’s Square around 5:30 PM Friday.
According to police, as organizers were setting up for the event, they noticed man in the Square towing a trailer with bible quotes painted on it.
The 22 year old jumped on the trailer and began spray painting over the bible quotes with black spray paint, as he believed them to be targeted hate.
The male was arrested for mischief and damage.
He was released, and will appear in court at a later date.
