No campfires this weekend because a large chunk of the province is under a burn ban.
The Forest Fire index for much of New Brunswick is red meaning no burning is permitted.

The Harvey Fire Department responding to the first grass fire of the season which made its way in the woods.
With dry conditions and wind, a forest fire can easily get out of control.
For the safety of people and property, fire officials are asking everyone to respect the provincial forest fire index and don’t burn when the province is under a burn ban.
On Thursday night, fire crews in Harvey responded to a blaze that required sixteen 100 foot lengths of hose to reach the fire.
