Flooding will not be historic again this year but New Brunswick EMO officials remind everyone we are not out of the woods yet.
Water Science specialist Jasmin Boisvert of the Department of Environment and Local Government says there is still uncertainty with this event.
“We are still a metre above flood stage in most places so, now is not the time to stop paying attention or let your guard down.”

Boisvert makes it clear that water levels are forecast to fall very slowly and he can’t emphasize that enough.
“In general water levels in the upper basin should continue to drop over the next few days. Depending on the amounts of rain to be received this weekend those water levels could stop dropping or even rise for a day or two.”
He says they should not reach flood stage and they should continue to drop after that.
