April 22 is Earth Day around the world, and in New Brunswick, the town of Quispamsis wants to make things greener, and cleaner.
It’s holding the 16th annual community clean-up across the town starting Monday.
Residents are urged to clean up local streets and neighbourhoods on the days surrounding Earth Day.
Litter drop-off bins are available April 22nd through 29th at the Quispamsis Memorial Arena & James Rolfe Field parking lots for residents and community groups.
Garbage bags are also available at the Town Hall while quantities last.
A similar event is being held in Saint John Tuesday morning. The annual Uptown Sweep hopes to clean up debris in preparation for Spring, as well as to beautify the city for the beginning of tourist season.
