New Brunswick has seen the largest price increase for cannabis since recreational use became legal last fall according to Statistics Canada.
The federal agency has compiled the data based on submissions to its StatsCannabis crowdsourcing application.
Data shows the price has jumped by almost 31 percent per gram for an average of $8.27 per gram.
Prior to legalization in mid-October, the average price per gram of dried cannabis was $6.85.
The lowest increases have been in British Columbia while customers in Quebec are currently paying the least amount per gram.
StatsCan notes all customers in Canada, no matter the frequency of their use, were paying more for dried cannabis after legalization.
