The Saint John Emergency Management Organization is holding an open house tonight on flood awareness to educate residents on potential flooding this spring.
Representatives from the Insurance Bureau of Canada, The Canadian Red Cross, Saint John Energy, and the New Brunswick EMO will all be attending.
The 2019 Riverwatch program was launched last week and officials want to make sure everyone is aware of flooding risks, especially after the Saint John River saw record flooding last spring.
The meeting is from 6 to 8 PM at the KBM Community Centre on Westfield Road, an area that was hard hit by flooding last year.
