If you thought the work on Reversing Falls Bridge in Saint John was going to wrap up soon, think again.
The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure says due to extreme cold conditions the last couple of weeks they need more time to do the necessary repairs.
The specified welding procedure requires the steel structure to be heated to a minimum of 10 degrees prior to welding. It can take several days to carry out welding and then the inspection.
So, for now, the bridge will be down to one lane until the end of March, expect delays or find an alternate route if possible.
