The Saint John police’s Major Crime Unit is investigating after two men were taken to the Saint John Regional Hospital to be treated after they were both stabbed.
Sergeant Chuck Breen says just after 1am on Wednesday officers were told the pair, aged 23 and 22, were in the uptown area and became separated.
One of the men heard his friend yelling, and discovered his friend in the middle of a skirmish involving some people and he was stabbed trying to help his friend, who had already been stabbed.
Meantime, the Major Crime Unit is investigating another separate incident, this one involving a robbery on Princess Court on the city’s east side around 11pm on Tuesday.
Police were told by a man that two men came to his door demanding drugs and threatening him with a weapon. They made off with prescription pills.
The victim wasn’t hurt.
