Stats Canada reports employment was little changed in November because fewer people were out looking for work. With a smaller labour force, the unemployment rate fell by .2 percentage points to 6.8%.
New Brunswick saw a drop in the unemployment rate by 1.3 per cent to 8.7 per cent. The labour force in the province went down by 37 hundred in November. 500 fulltime jobs were added.
In Saint John, there was no change with the jobless rate remaining at 7.6 per cent but there was an increase in Moncton from 6.9 to 7.3 per cent.
