Schools are closed today in Sussex, Apohaqui, Norton and Belleisle while all school buses will be delayed one hour. Classes at the New Brunswick Community College in Saint John will be delayed by one hour this morning. All regular classes will start at 9:30.
Saint John was spared the worst of another Nor’easter that dumped heavy snow inland but there could be more heavy snow in those areas tomorrow according to a special weather statement released by Environment Canada. Heavy rain is expected along the Fundy coast tomorrow.
More than 40 thousand businesses and homes were without power as of early this morning across the province mostly in Moncton and the Fredericton area. NB Power also reports outages in Hampton, Bloomfield and Belleisle Creek with no word on when electricity will be restored.
