The Kensington Police Force in PEI is threatening to use Nickelback as punishment for drinking and driving, in a bit of a comical post on Facebook.
The Police Force has taken to Facebook to let anyone celebrating the festive season know, the importance of finding a designated driver, calling a cab or staying the night.
For those who don’t like the band Nickelback, the punishment could be much worse than a hefty fine, a criminal charge and a years driving suspension.
The post states, when police catch you, you’ll also have to face listening to the office copy of a Nickelback CD in the cruiser on the way to jail.
They finish their post off by saying, “So please, let’s not ruin a perfectly good unopened copy of Nickelback. Don’t drink and drive, and they won’t make you listen to it.”
How’s that for unusual punishment?
How’s that for proof that the Police Force do have a sense of humour?
