According to Environment Canada, we can expect some rain and snow over southern and eastern portions of the province starting Saturday night.
A low pressure system will approach the Maritimes on Saturday from New England and it will track over Nova Scotia on Sunday and move slowly off to the east on Monday.
The statement says significant snowfall is possible over some areas but it’s too soon to say where or how much.
Areas of higher terrain away from the coast have the best chance of getting a lot of snow.
