The former President and Vice-Chancellor of St. Thomas University, Dr. Daniel O’Brien is being remembered fondly after word emerged of his death.
Dr. O’Brien spent 16 years as president and vice-chancellor following his appointment in 1990 and during his tenure, STU’s student body doubled.
Dr. O’Brien was the university’s first President Emeritus and flags on the campus are flying at half mast.
