The second degree murder trial of Matthew Tucker will begin on Halloween.
The 35 year old from St. Stephen is accused of killing his mother, 53 year old Dorothy Tucker of Oak Haven, in November 2014.
Her body was found by hunters in St. David Ridge, ten days after she was reported missing.
Initially, Tucker plead not guilty to the charge, then decided to change his plea to guilty.
During his sentencing hearing, Court of Queen’s Bench Justice Darrell Stephenson ordered Tucker to stand trial based on information brought up in the hearing — that evidence is currenlty under a publication ban.
Tucker’s trial will begin at 9:30 Monday morning, October 31st, in Saint John.
