If you were hoping for the same kind of mild winter we had last year with below normal snowfall, you could be disappointed.
Brett Anderson of Accuweather is forecasting a stormier winter but whether it will be as severe as two years ago when we had record amounts of snow, he says the chances are remote.
Anderson says the weather pattern has shifted from an El Nino to a La Nina which sends cold air through the prairies and the storms come along the coast into our region.
