Saint John will host thousands of seniors for the Canada 55 plus games in August 2018.
The event has been around for 20 years and expects to bring in about $3 million dollars in economic impact.
Bob MacLeod is President of the Canada 55 plus Games and he tells us they have about 25 events and 2000 participants.
He says they had a 97 year old woman compete in bowling last year and they had a 95 year old man compete in golfing.

MacLeod says the events are separated into two categories and they are active and passive.
