The Port City is hosting one day conference next week focusing on stimulating the local economy.
The International Council of Shopping Centers is hosting the event at the Diamond Jubilee Cruise Ship Terminal featuring municipal and provincial officials and retail industry leaders from this country and the United States.
The keynote address will be delivered by Lacy Beasley of the Birmingham, Alabama development firm Retail Strategies.
Speakers and presenters will discuss the integral role the retail industry plays in the social, civic, and economic vibrancy of communities.
