It’s expected to be class as usual this morning after a potential threat closed school across PEI yesterday.
RCMP now say they are confident that the threat was not credible.
Law enforcement attended every school on the Island and did physical checks of the facilities, and found nothing.
RCMP say the potential threats were received via fax at the RCMP office in Ottawa. They stated that bombs had been placed in several schools on the Island, but did not specify which ones.
School emergency evacuation plans were activated, and everyone followed procedures thoroughly.
Similar threats were also received in Nova Scotia yesterday…and forced the closure of community colleges and universities as a precaution.
