The Gallant government is investing $260,000 in the Moncton Flight College to create 29 new full-time jobs mainly as flight instructors both in Moncton and at the Fredericton campus.
The funding comes in the form of payroll rebates and will be spread out over four years.
Premier Brian Gallant says the province wants to invest in the growing aerospace and defence sector.
“As we can see, there is huge growth here. And we believe there is huge growth potential to create real jobs in the Greater Moncton area and across the province. This is an institution and college which has been doing great things for quite some time and we are really glad to be a part of it,” says Gallant.
The federal government through ACOA has announced more than $280,000 which will be used to purchase and install four flight-training simulators – one at the Moncton campus and the other three in Fredericton.
