Researchers will embark on developing a new approach to detect cancer faster thanks to a $3 million federal investment in the Atlantic Cancer Research Institute.
Metro Moncton MP Ginette Petitpas-Taylor announced the funding through ACOA.
Researchers will try to detect cancer or possibly other diseases in bodily fluids which will reduce the need for invasive biopsy procedures.
The research project will create nine full-time positions at the institute which is housed in the Georges Dumont Hospital.
