It might be September, but summer isn’t over yet and kids in Fredericton have a new place to go play outside.
The $1.3-million-dollar Wilmot Park Splash Pad is now officially open and will be open every day until September 18 and then just weekends until Thanksgiving Day.
It features what the Regional Development Corporation calls multi-activity spray and splash components, designated shallow areas, sun shades, a washroom, and more.
This project was funded by three levels of government with the city giving the lion’s share at $825,000, the province giving $350,000 and the federal government, through ACOA, $131,733.
