The end of one era and the start of another.
The McAllister Place Sobey’s location closed to make way for the new Sobey’s extra at East Point.
Paul Barter has been with the company for a long time and tells us he’s excited to be in a brand new store.
He tells us he started at 15 years old putting groceries in cars and now he’s 56 and managing one of the most beautiful stores in Atlantic Canada.

Sobey’s Extra at East Point has 230 staff, with 90 new staff hired, and it includes a florist, a customer experience manager and a deli kitchen.
