Catharine Pendrel from Fredericton of won a bronze medal in the women’s cross-country mountain bike race at the Rio Olympics.
The Harvey Station native crashed early in the race, but still managed a podium finish.
18-year-old golfer Brooke Henderson of Ontario tied for 7th place in her first ever Olympic games.
Canada now has 22 medals at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
