The Canadian Federation of Independent Business has conducted a survey and it shows business optimism is on the rise in the Greater Saint John area with an 8.5 percent increase over this time in 2018.
The survey was done with 930 members of the Saint John Region Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Greater Saint John.
It is welcome news to both groups and some of the survey highlights show 41 percent say a lack of skilled workers has slowed their growth, that is up from 36 percent.
The issue of taxes and regulations and the cost restraints associated with them were concerns for 65 percent compared to 54 percent last year.
