Romero House will be laying off its entire staff as of August 7th.A spokesperson for the soup kitchen tells CHSJ News, the doors of the facility will stay open because there is still a great need for it’s services, but it will be entirely volunteer staffed starting next month.Letters have been sent to donors looking for more money in order to keep some staff, but as it looks right now the lay offs are inevitable. The spokesperson says just because the money isn’t there, doesn’t mean people still aren’t hungry.
